At EverAfter, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to achieve a seamless digital environment.

Our Commitment

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

By adhering to these guidelines, we aim to align our website with accessibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (United States), Australia’s Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA), and Canada’s Accessible Canada Act where applicable.

Measures to Support Accessibility

EverAfter takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

• Integration: Accessibility is a core part of our internal design and development policies.
• Testing: We perform regular automated and manual audits of our website to identify and fix usability barriers.

Current Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

EverAfter is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. The remaining known issues are described in the Non-accessible Content section below.

Non-accessible Content

The following areas are known not to fully meet WCAG 2.2 level AA and the reasons why:

• ESRI (ArcGIS) mapping: Interactive map views on cemetery, profile, and search pages use the ESRI/ArcGIS mapping library. In particular, we have concerns around small text and keyboard accessibility (Success Criterion 1.4.4 Resize Text and 2.1.1 Keyboard). We continue to work with the integration and monitor vendor updates to improve conformance.
• Custom-site colour contrast: This website is rebranded for different customer sites. We have reviewed custom colour palettes where possible, but some customer-branded versions may use colour combinations that do not yet meet WCAG 2.2 Success Criterion 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum). We continue to audit and correct these where we find them, and welcome feedback so we can fix specific sites.
• 3D cemetery map: The optional “View 3D Map” experience is delivered in an embedded iframe. We have concerns around keyboard accessibility (Success Criterion 2.1.1 Keyboard) within the iframe. We are working to improve the accessibility of this feature.
